CAMERA RESOURCE
Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cameras on iPhone and iPad
UniFi Protect documents outgoing RTSPS and RTSP services on its Protect system.
App compatibility: not physically tested. These notes describe manufacturer documentation. They do not verify playback, audio, camera movement or recording access in CameraViewer.
Connection details to check
- Documented connection
- RTSP, RTSPS
- Credentials
- Obtain the stream URL and access requirements from the Protect administrator. Do not turn a UniFi account password into a guessed camera URL.
Prepare the camera
- Identify the Protect system serving the camera.
- Ask its administrator for the documented stream-sharing procedure for the installed Protect version.
Model and service limits
- The port table lists 7441 for RTSPS and 7447 for RTSP, but provides no complete URL.
- A Protect stream service is distinct from direct camera access; CameraViewer RTSPS support is not established.
- No physical camera has been tested in CameraViewer. Manufacturer documentation does not establish app compatibility.
Your next step
